Can you guide these little blue creatures through a series of fun and increasingly challenging puzzles on their way to a new home? Find out in Zoombinis, an updated version of the classic, award-winning 1990's puzzle game Logical Journey of the Zoombinis.

The small blue creatures, each with distinct personalities and appearances, are escaping imprisonment by the evil Bloats, who have taken over the Zoombinis' home. Players take on the role of guide and help the Zoombinis reach the safety of Zoombiniville.

Players face a series of increasingly difficult challenges that stand between the Zoombinis and freedom. Twelve perilous puzzles, each with four levels of increasing difficulty, require players to use logic, spot patterns, analyze data and hone their problem-solving skills.

As educational as it is entertaining, Zoombinis combines addictive puzzles with a great story and memorable characters for an engaging and challenging experience.

Calling all kids (and any brave adults)! We challenge you to get all the Zoombinis to safety.

Common questions...
  • What ages is Zoombinis suited for?

Zoombinis appeals to just about any age of child, but the logical problems could challenge children younger than 6.

On the other hand, the mystical setting and the brain teasers presented, can amuse and challenge adults -- even if they don't want to admit it!

  • Is Zoombinis suitable for mature users?

Like an animated movie, Zoombinis can be a source of amusement and logical challenge for the brightest adults.

Logical thinking is not something we all have, and some of us get a little rusty at times.

If you are an adult or you have an adult subject who could use a little logical thinking tune-up, Zoombinis is an enjoyable low-risk way to help.

  • How does Zoombinis fit the curriculum?

Zoombinis can form the foundation for an entire unit of study on logical thinking and problem solving.

Each Zoombinis challenge involves different kinds of boolean logic to solve them, so each obstacle can become the focus for different kinds of logical problems.

Using drama as a learning activity, children can form teams, invent obstacles, and challenge other teams to solve the Zoombinis obstacle.

  • What computers does Zoombinis work on?

    Zoombinis is engineered for...

    • Mac OS X computers 10.7 to current.
    • Windows computers Vista, Windows 7 through Windows 10.
    • 2GB RAM, 256 MB VRA.
    • 2 GB free hard drive space.

Zoombinis is not yet engineered for networks.

  • What licenses are available and how much do they cost?

Zoombinis is licensed by the install and the number of games saved per install.

Games saved are available in 5-game and 30-game editions.

Games saved start at $5.00 each, so a single installation of a 5-game license, costs $25.00.

Games saved reduce to $4.00 each for 30-game license. So a single 30-game install costs $120.00.

Cost per game saved is reduced with larger volumes of installations.

For example, if a school or district purchases 200 or more 5-game installs, the cost per saved game reduces to $3.00 (40% less than SRP).

If a school or district purchases 20 or more 30-game installs, the cost per saved game reduces to $3.00 (40% less than SRP).

This product order page is set up so you can see how the number of games saved and the number of installs reduces your cost. You can also contact us for a quote.

  • We would like to use Zoombinis across the district. Is there a district license and a way to easily distribute the software?

The Zoombinis software is currently licensed by the station, with a capacity of saving 5 games per computer or 30 games per computer.

To this point in the software's evolution, the creative effort has focused on the extraordinary quality and effectiveness of the adventure itself.

Thus far, there is no management system with the software, nor is it engineered for networks or mass dissemination.

Bytes of Learning and the publisher Encore welcome a request for district licensing. We would love to discuss your needs and to propose solutions.

  • Can students use Zoombinis at home?

Zoombinis is available for home purchase right from this site.>

If you would like to encourage home purchase, Bytes of Learning welcomes a request to set up a special promotion code just for your families.

  • Can I try Zoombinis before I buy?

Zoombinis is not available with a trial license but a single 5-game install costs only $25.00.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, let us know within 7 days and we will refund your money.

If you are a teacher who needs a trial before buying, or you are part of a school committee reviewing software, please contact us.
